We will be meeting at the start of the old Moonshine Run ride in downtown Elkin at 9:45. Rolling out at 10:00am.

The route was originally put together by Jon Saylor for the Triad Austin Healy Club back in 2024. He took me on this 90-mile ride and the roads are amazing. He was raised in the Elkin area and knows all the great twisty roads. The route will end up at Speedy Chef burger and ice cream. After lunch, the group can either head to a winery (there are three in Elkin) or head back home. This is an open ride (not exclusive to CZC) and we may have some of the Austin Healey group join us.


Elkin Ride Update 6/26

Wanted to send some information out to the club about the ride this weekend starting in Elkin.

My plan is to stop and pick up some donuts from the Krispy Kreme in Concord (Speedway Blvd) at 7:45AM - I will be rolling out of there at 8:00AM - anyone that wants to meet up, please feel free.

I thought I would offer to swing by Nissan at Lake Norman at 8:30AM and anyone who wants to meet there can join in. From there it is a straight shot up I-77 to Elkin (about 1 hour).

The official meeting place and start of the ride is in the parking lot beside the The Rail Yard (203 W Depot Street, Elkin NC) about 9:30 so that any club members can have a donut and pick up some swag. I will have the 30th Anniversary t-shirts, sunglasses and a few window stickers (sorry - I don't have many).
